Peter Katz, Chief Designer

A graphic designer by training, Peter has brought highly sought out design practices to clients across the county, Peter has a track record conceptualizing innovative communication strategy, including many that have updated prevailing models of community design, planning and transportation. Peter was instrumental in the formation of the New Urbanism movement, which the New York Times called “the most important phenomenon to emerge in American architecture in the post-Cold War era.” Peter has launched several successful not-for-profit organizations, including the Congress for the New Urbanism, Form Based Code Institute and the SmartGo Network. He brings his communication and graphic design expertise to Collaborative Strategies projects, ensuring that high standards of clarity and design are embedded across the company's work products.

Peter received his BFA in arts from The Cooper Union. An avid bicyclist and hiker, he lives in the Washington DC metro area with his family.
